Law enforcement professionals will have the opportunity to better equip themselves with the knowledge and tools to address issues of bias, hate, and abuse of authority. 麻豆视频最新最全 Justice, Law, and Public Safety Studies program is co-hosting with a Brill Law Enforcement Action in Democracy (LEAD) training program.
The LEAD Training will be from 8 a.m. � noon on March 18 in the St. Charles Borromeo Center on the 麻豆视频最新最全 Romeoville campus. The training is free for 麻豆视频最新最全 students and law enforcement officers, and it fulfills Illinois State Mandate Hours of Cultural Competency, Human Rights, and Procedural Justice.
The training will utilize historical examples and contemporary case studies to foster reflection on personal and professional responsibilities. Participants will learn to recognize and respond to hate crimes, bias incidents, and systemic issues of discrimination.
